Maria Florez is an internationally published make up artist. She has been in the industry for over 20 years, A free lance make-up artist since 1986. Maria is committed to staying abreast of style trends. From funky highlights to soft and subtle color, she gets it done. She is a true artist who knows how to best compliment her clients in styles created to express their unique personalities. She received her associates degree in cosmetology at Mt Hood Community college and continues to take advanced education courses, along with regularly attending beauty trade shows. As a former educator at Image Designers college of cosmetology Maria greatly enriched her students education and ignited their passion to perfect their craft. Maria offers artistic hair cutting, coloring and styling, along with barbering for men. Maria also perform's relaxing facials & body treatments. Twice this year (2011) Ms. Florez was rated top make up artist in Gresham by thumbtack.com.

She is a true artist who knows how to best compliment her clients in styles created to express their unique personalities. Maria has evolved into a make up artist in demand for photo shoots, print and commercial work. Now as a stylist she incorporates her make up artistry into every aspect of her full work in the salon Maria works with all types of hair textures implementing current techniques to achieve endless results. Her Vast knowledge of color, cutting, retexturizing, event styling and extensive product knowledge makes her one of the industries best. She provides full service styling and barbering to a diverse range of clientele, always focusing on her client's satisfaction, specializing in Make Up Artistry, Haircutting, Thermal Straightening, Special events styling,and hair extensions,along with a variety of spa services. Maria has also been an educator for Mt Hood community college as a cosmetology instructor and and at Image Designers college of cosmetology She has taught advanced makeup application & air brush make up along with an introduction to special effects make up. Maria is also a former educator for mirabella cosmetics as well as iStraight japanese hair straightening system. Being an educator has helped her strive and achieve top quality work and service. She is in a never ending competition with herself proving that there is always room for improvement no matter how skilled and talented she already is. Maria says, "I love my work because I know I can make a difference in how people feel about themselves and how they look." This is her core philosophy and why she appreciates the opportunity to redirect the client that wants to look and feel different and better than when they arrived for their appointment.
