From August 2010 to Present (5 years 5 months) Project Manager and Software Developer @ During my roughly two years at HM I worked in the department called “OtherBrands”. OtherBrands is the collection of all the clothing brands that are owed or partly owned by HM, - however not their main brand “HM”. The brands are the following: Cos, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, &OtherStories. During these two years both the projects and my role changed a lot. I started out helping the department working with c# .Net, moving from their previous development environment to a new one. The transition worked very smoothly and after that I started working as a front-end developer for COS, during their redesign period. The Cos project was a success, and soon after also the other brands wanted to make a change. They also wanted to make their websites responsive in order to reach more customers on portable devices. After a while the decision was made to work with an offshore team. My role then developed into being an agile project manager together with my front-end role. The role was to coordinate and keep the team in motion, one of the biggest challenges was due to that the team was distributed over three different locations. During my time at OtherBrands, all the brands was redesigned and made into more modern responsive websites. From August 2012 to June 2014 (1 year 11 months) Software Developer @ From January 2012 to August 2012 (8 months) Netlight Consultant @ Internet Psychiatry at the Stockholm County Council uses cognitive behavioral therapy to treat patients for their problems with depression, stress, sleep disorders and social phobia. For this they used a proprietary platform written in PHP. For better scalability and stability, Stockholm County Council decided create a new Platform, developed in .Net. The project building this new platform was started by some other consultants, but was never finished due to budget issues. I was together with a colleague hired to stabilize and analyze if further development should be done on the new platform. And if so, continue the development on this new platform. From September 2011 to January 2012 (5 months) Netlight Consultant @ I worked together with a small team to investigate and create different architectures for a new potential project with very high demands on performance, scalability and maintainability. Our architecture reached all the way from the presentation layer with different kinds of caching down to the data-layer and how to maintain our databases and keep the overall performance high. Our research was highly appreciated by the company. From September 2011 to September 2011 (1 month) Netlight Consultant @ “Bonver Entertainment develops and provides client specific concepts for the rental and retail of movies, music, games and audio books. We deliver entertainment products to 3000 stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, which makes us Scandinavia’s largest supplier of entertainment. We offer solutions for everything from product choice, marketing, store exposure and IT-systems to logistics. Bonver Entertainment also offers home entertainment products digitally. Consumers can see movies via film2home, Scandinavia’s largest provider of rental or retail films in stores and online. We also have a comprehensive Nordic solution that includes digitizing, hosting, distribution and rights management. We cooperate with broadband operators, IPTV operators and citynets to offer solutions and content for digital rental and downloading of movies.” At Bonver I worked with the movie-streaming (VOD) site www.film2home.se to improve their website for the major brand change from videotoppen.se to film2home.se. I worked with a broad spectrum of technologies like C# .Net, jQuery, CSS and epi-server. The project was very successful and appreciated, the site got an major face-lift and a lot of new functionality. From April 2011 to September 2011 (6 months) Netlight Consultant @ Betsson was interested in developing a product to add excitement and fun of playing poker online. This would be done by providing customers with real-time bonuses as they play poker. I was a member of the development team as a programmer to develop this system. The main techniques used in the project were C #, ASP. NET, JavaScript and SQL. Their algorithms are designed to mimic the human brain function and are therefore yields a better result than its competitors according to Saplo AB. This Technology has attracted much attention and it was perhaps because of it ranks as one of the most interesting start-up companies in Europe 2010. The technology was used to analyze the ongoing Swedish election process through Twitter. I was one of two people who developed www.valanalys.se for just this purpose.
