DevOps Engineer @ xAd, Inc Job Responsibilities:• Automated launch and provisioning process of AWS instances.• Automated IAM user creation ad AWS Console access.• Proof of concept for Range to Consul migration.• Monitoring and maintaining Kafka clusters.• Developed several scripts to automate team’s daily activities.• Managed infrastructure using Terraform.• Production support. From September 2016 to May 2017 (9 months) Mountain View,CaliforniaSoftware Engineer @ Yodlee •Worked on Yodlee’s cloud-based Transaction Data Enrichment(TDE) service. TDE provides greater clarity around transactions, consumer spending patterns and trends. oExperience in set-up, launch and deployment of TDE infrastructure comprising of Spark, GPUs, Elastic Search and Load Balancer components. oReduced infrastructure cost by 50% by automating the start/stop of GPUs and Elastic Search clusters. oDesigned and implemented a framework to monitor TDE infrastructure. oAutomated the house-keeping tasks such as file availability, transactions processed , completion status etc .These files contain ~ 50 million transactions. An efficient handling of these files subsequently ensures an optimum use of underlying compute resources and SLAs.•Automated monitoring of ETL(Extract-Transform-Load) jobs to transfer data between OLTPs and Hadoop file system.•Automated monitoring of AWS RedShift Cluster health and AWS RedShift Admin tasks.•Member of Tools and automation team. oDeveloped an internal tool to manage access of Yodlee Services to external clients. This tool is used for whitelisting the external IPs, mapping those external IPs to Yodlee IPs and subnet masks etc. oEnhanced an internal tool to manage Data Center Inventory of Yodlee servers and network devices. This tool allows addition, removal, and editing of servers, models and interfaces in all Yodlee Data Centers across the globe. oDeveloped scripts and UI to monitor Data Collection process, which captures a snapshot of the Yodlee’s production environment. It gathers hardware and software information from servers, gatherers, configuration databases and OLTPs, and helps in troubleshooting issues in production environment.•Collaborated with multiple global teams, presented several times before senior management, and trained many new employees and internal teams on OTC tool architecture and usage.•Automated the deployment process using Jenkins. From November 2013 to March 2014 (5 months) San Francisco Bay AreaGraduate Technical Intern @ Intel Corporation Worked on a profiling tool for OpenCL applications provides performance data and other key metrics during execution of an OpenCL application. This tool enables tracing of the API calls from an application and provides critical workload characterization metrics. These metrics help identify performance and bandwidth bottlenecks by determining the execution time taken by various API calls.Job Responsibilities:• Implemented the software routines in the tool to allow users to choose kernels to dump the performance metrics data. This task had intensive inter-process communication and shared memory accesses. Used C++ as programming language.• Developed dump-stream and benchmarking code for OpenCL APIs.• Improved tool efficiency by standardizing tool’s benchmark output from simple text format to standard YAML format.• Redesigned and re-structured the code for common options in capture and playback mode.• Coded options to the tools to better organize the output data hierarchy. This provided more flexibility to the users to choose output directory. This also solved the problem of overwriting the files from previous run. Used C++ as programming language.• Automated the regression process. From April 2012 to October 2013 (1 year 7 months) Santa Clara,CaliforniaSoftware Engineer @ United Health Group • Comprehended the needs of the project to develop the test plan.• Created and executed the test cases, and tracked the bug filings using Test Director.• Assisted the development teams to root cause the bugs using SQL queries.• Prepared requirement traceability matrix to check if all the requirements had been captured and tested. From May 2008 to January 2009 (9 months) Software Engineer @ Infotech • Set-up and executed various Toolbox releases (TIF2GDF).• Implemented code to check if generated GDF-AS, GDF-IR and MNL Shape data is as per the specifications , using ArcGIS tool and SQL queries.• Developed the test plan, created and executed the test cases, and tracked the bugs using Test Director.• Assisted the development teams to root cause the bugs using SQL queries.• Prepared requirement traceability matrix to check if all the requirements had been captured and tested. San JoseSenior DevOps Engineer @ ParallelM Job Responsibilities:Built and managed physical test environments across multiple datacenters consisting of over 150 nodes. All systems were ‘infrastructure as code’ using Ansible for configuration and Cobbler for initial provisioning.Responsible for build process.
