Giving Sphere is an e-commerce SaaS early-stage start-up for non-profit organizations to address the issues of Donor Fatigue, Limited Donor Capacity, and Decreased Government Support. As CTO, I managed the product roadmap, ensured alignment with the business plan, and managed engineering resources. GivingSphere is built using Python, Django, and Postgres. Key features include analytical tools to improve fundraising, a more modern design, modular architecture, and an interface better targeting non-profit managers.
Brasch Group is a start-up focused on the elderly care industry which provides innovative solutions to customers in Europe and the United States. At Brasch Group, in addition to general strategy and operations consulting, I also took ownership of completing a new product to allow greater independence for the patient and the caretaker. This involved reviewing the market and clarifying the product vision, and then managing both internal and external resources in bringing the product to market. From May 2013 to October 2014 (1 year 6 months) Consultant @ Bain and Company is one of the world’s leading management consulting firms, and advises senior executives on decisions based on fact-based analysis, converts those decisions into actions, and delivers sustainable success.
At Bain & Co I worked on a variety of complex strategy problems including developing a go-to-market strategy for a new agricultural chemical product, systems to improve hiring and retention in education with a focus on both financial and non-financial compensation, detailed analysis of e-commerce and its impact and opportunities for retail, and scenario analysis in the energy and power sectors. From September 2011 to April 2013 (1 year 8 months) Product Manager (internship) @ NetApp is a leader in storage systems and software.
At NetApp I analyzed strategic opportunities (organic and acquisitions) to expand into an adjacent software market, initiated and developed an internal tool to better understand how customer were actually using our products, and developed sales strategies to improve growth of a specific product group. As a Pre-Sales Engineer, I was the lead for an archiving product that used a distributed system to analyze unstructured data, and worked heavily with marketing and product management to communicate customer feedback and provide input on feature direction. From June 2006 to May 2009 (3 years) Senior Technical Consultant @ Subject matter expert for a new product HP acquired, and helped gain the initial set of customers in Europe and the US.
