Fibre Channel Redirect is a critical distributed infrastructure service in NXOS that allows transparent insertion/removal of one or more Storage Services in cascade into a SAN without traffic disruption between a Host & Storage without the host or storage knowledge. This allows the customer to deploy storage services on demand without of the hassle of re-wiring and configuring the fabric. This product received the Cisco Data Center Business Unit Outstanding Technical Achievement Award in Aug-2007 Participated in the design of all FC-Redirect based applications like SME (Storage Media Encryption), IOA (IO Acceleration Services), DMM (Data Migration Manager) to optimize their design in FC-Redirect environments Currently, leading the team to support and optimize FC-Redirect for FCoE environments.
