I’m a builder, a tinkerer, a maker. I love creating things. In fact I can’t stop making things and coming up with new ones that haven't been made yet.
I was the kid who drew on walls. I wanted to spend my life drawing, inventing things. I built houses out of lego, laid train tracks around the lego cities I built and made dresses for the dolls I owned.
I always wanted to know how things worked, to be an inventor, so I started a degree in Electrical Engineering. But at the same time, in 1997, I discovered html. The world went from barely-interconnected to buildable! There were people to talk to, places to find and share information. There was a landscape, it was nearly bare, grey and red, and it blinked.
And I could shape it!
I knew what I was going to be doing for the rest of my life: Making people’s lives easier through interconnected technology. McGill's only course in Human Computer Interaction got me started on what is now called user experience; my career.
Today, I am a UX Architect.
I love creating things and the Internet is still my beloved playground, my white wall, my virtual lego.
