For past four years I have served as editor-in-chief of several Massachusetts Medical Society member publications, as well as speechwriter and social media advocate for the Society's physician-leaders. During my 11 years at The Boston Globe, reporting, writing, and editing many thousands of news stories, I helped establish new biweekly regional zoned sections, created and wrote the popular Boston.com blog, "Moms Are Talking About," and pioneered new religion and municipal news beats. I shared in 2007 Society of American Business Editors and Writers "Best in Business" Breaking News Award, and was recipient of five internal Boston Globe Impact Awards.
