Dr Maria Milosavljevic has more than 20 years’ experience delivering innovative analytics and information technology solutions to improve organisational capability. Beginning her career as an undergraduate in the late 80s, she developed the first predictive model and recommender system in a processing plant. She has delivered many innovative solutions leveraging data and text analytics since, including several further world-firsts. Dr Milosavljevic has held senior roles across government, industry and academia in both Australia and the United Kingdom. She has published widely, completed a PhD with the Microsoft Research Institute, and will complete an Executive Masters of Public Administration (EMPA) with the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) in early 2015.
Dr Milosavljevic was the key driver in the establishment of the ACC-led National Criminal Intelligence Fusion Capability (Fusion). After leaving for a short time, she returned to the ACC in May 2013 to lead the Information Branch as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, she manages information from entry to exit, ensuring that it is available, managed, secure and can be exploited by the ACC and its partners. This includes overseeing organisational capability, digital / data / analytics strategy, solution development, and underlying technology infrastructure and support.

- Delivery of the Fusion Program
- Delivery of the ACID/ALEIN Scoping Study and initiation of the National Criminal Intelligence System (NCIS)
- Finalist, iTnews Government CIO of the Year
- Keynote speaker, 2014 Big Data Summit, Sydney and the 2014 ACS Conference, Canberra and invited speaker to several other conferences
- Subject prize, Governing by the Rules (Regulation), ANZSOG Executive Masters of Public Administration (EMPA)
