In the past he has served as Executive Vice President of Media Rights Capital and in that role oversaw revenue, sales development team and content integrations for the digital division of this independent Hollywood studio.
In addition to the above he held the position of Vice President of Agency Development & Sales at United Online, he was responsible for overseeing strategies and developing new product offerings for the company’s U.S. agency partners. He was also is responsible for revenue forecasting, sales and overseeing a team of sales professionals.
Prior to joining United Online Mr. Masterson held the position of Vice President of Agency Relations for Advertising.com, an AOL/Time Warner Company. In his role at Advertising.com he was responsible developing sales strategies and for revenue of $150M+ dollars annually. His past experience also includes Vice President of business development and sales for Worldly Information Network, a top tier financial network as well as director of business development for Juno Online Services. He began his career as an advertising executive with Ziff Davis Corp with PC Magazine and worked with several magazines within the business cluster.
He is a recognized expert and an old-timer in online advertising media and convergence and has spoken at numerous industry events including: Digital Hollywood, AAAA, OMMA West, OMMA Breakout Digital Video, IMedia Breakout and the IAB. He is active in regional advertising associations and has moderated and participated on several panels dealing with different media platforms and creative executions. As an advocate of interactive advertising and content development he has held board seats and remains involved in the several industry organizations and task teams.
