Brand Designer @ ASUC Student Union During my time at UC Berkeley, the ASUC Student Union was going through an entire revitalization. The Lower Sproul Redevelopment Project has been on a mission to create a more inviting space for students to cultivate their academic and personal life. Along with all these changes, the ASUC Student Union and all of its internal departments have gone through an entire rebrand. As a Graphic Designer for the Marketing team, I am able to help build this legacy and establish a trusted brand, mentor student design interns, apply my photography skills for interactive/print needs, and create a lasting brand for the ASUC Student Union. Art direction of photographers and illustrators for editorial spreads. Concept and design for feature stories, arts & culture spreads and cover. From March 2011 to September 2011 (7 months) Editorial Designer @ Sacramento News & Review During my time as Editorial Designer at SN&R, I worked under supervision of a Creative Directer with 20+ years experience. I mainly worked on layout design for their 2 alternative weekly newspapers (SN&R and RN&R). My duties a big focus on typographic details, hierarchy and story telling. From September 2009 to March 2011 (1 year 7 months) Senior Visual Designer @ PAX Labs, Inc. As the sole Visual Designer at PAX Labs, I have worked directly with both the PAX and JUUL brand to create a consistent brand experience that expresses the same values as their innovative products. I approach all design problems with 4 things in mind: the brand/product values, data-driven design, company goals and user experience. During the contracted 6 weeks, I developed user interfaces for a back end Content Management System and Ipad interface to work with a state of the art Prysm Video Wall. Other responsibilities included layout design, illustration, iconography and any other Visual Design support needed.
