President/CEO @ Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc. (Milhouse) performs full service engineering and architecture consulting in 11 markets, including aviation, construction, education, energy, environmental, facilities, healthcare, program management, site civil, transportation and water/wastewater. Milhouse creates designs that enable people to carry out everyday activities (working, learning, traveling, cooking, playing, shopping and healing). At the end of the day, it’s all about people helping people. From December 2001 to Present (14 years 1 month) Project Manager @ Mr. Milhouse served in two roles. He managed multiple civil lead projects for the company. He was responsible for the quality, schedule and productivity of the work as well as the human, software and other pertinent resources required to exceed client and corporate requirements. His duties included but were not limited to managed the quality, schedule and budget of self and subordinate projects to exceed client requirements, identified resources required to exceed client and MEC performance requirements, designed and managed design to client and regulatory requirement, advised executive management of all quality, schedule and budget variances in a timely manner, performed shop drawing review and disposition, prepared project documents and reports, maintained project files, created and enforced project quality plans, ensured data and document entry into various platforms, reported safety, health and quality issues to management, prepared contract amendments, change order documentation, and claims documentation and assisted executive management as directed. From 2001 to 2001 (less than a year) Greater Chicago AreaDirector of Operations @ Mr. Milhouse provided overall direction to contract operations project(s) of varying size, scope and complexity. Ensured established goals and objectives were met within framework of established corporate or organizational policy. He managed employees, as well as, participants of a project team or a cross functional team. As Office Manager, he was responsible for organization and coordination of office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This included maintaining office services, supervising office staff and maintaining office records and filing systems. As project engineer, he was responsible for the design and preparation of contract plans for buildings, ridges and roadway projects. His duties included performing design and calculations, writing specifications and supervising engineers. From 1997 to 1999 (2 years) Structual Engineer @ Mr. Milhouse was responsible for the design and the preparation of contract plans for several bridge and roadway projects. His duties included performing design and calculations, writing specifications, the supervision of design engineers and the coordination of projects.
