Skills: ETL - Informatica, messaging - JMS, Tibco, OrcaNG, scripting, continuous integration, test automation, industrial automation, project management, product management, software processes. Currently based in Krakow.Release Manager @ I did about 150 releases for UBS for last 4 years successfully, three different systems (data hubs). That included planning, management, tracking, dress rehearsals, troubleshooting, deployment automation, coordination of actual deployment into production. Technologies used were Java, Oracle, Informatica, Tibco, OrcaNG, Unix, Windows. From 2011 to Present (4 years) Kraków Area, PolandQA Lead @ Implemented a few BSS/OSS solutions. The technologies used were Java, Oracle, Unix. From January 2010 to January 2011 (1 year 1 month) QA Manager @ The project was to create Primus Fitting System (real-ear.com) - a fitting system that includes everything needed within audiometry, real ear measurements, client counseling and hearing instrument testing. Both hardware and software were designed and built from the scratch and at the same time, which was one of the main challenges in the project. The major project milestone was to demonstrate the product at EUHA exhibition (euha.org) in Oct 09 which was achieved successfully. The customer (sib-development.com) was satisfied with the quality of the product that he received. I had to learn basics in audiometry and hearing aid programming to be able to create test cases as close to real life as possible. Then I had to choose the overall test strategy and implement it. One of the challenges was to figure out how to test both hardware and software together properly. Mainly testing was manual due to the nature of the system developed, though partly it was automated and executed automatically upon daily build finishing on both operating systems supported (XP, Vista) at the same time. From April 2009 to January 2010 (10 months) Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead @ The company was founded by John J. Moores to utilize the global pool of software talent, first of all, mainframe specialists. That involved investing in a new generation of engineers. I agreed to participate as a team lead and an engineer and to master the technology, then totally new to me. My team has successfully delivered a QA solution for an IMS audit product developed by NEON Enterprise Software Inc. for American Express. The project was unique in terms of variety of technologies involved – a number of IMS configurations and programming environments, from Assembler 370 to Java. Personally, I created a foundation for the testing – a QA architecture based on Workload Simulator from IBM to arrange systemic testing and generate workload up to 800 transactions per second. I created most of environments and database types IMS works with, and lead the implementation by the team members. I also worked as a developer - created an audit log conversion utility (C++, Asm, z/OS). From November 2006 to September 2008 (1 year 11 months) Software Project/QA Manager @ I did about 10 industrial automation projects for Delphi, Visteon, and PSA Peugeot Citroen on their sites across Europe and USA. That included full cycle of software development, and also on-site installation and maintenance. I also did the whole cycle of product development, starting with market research and analysis, and finishing with post-release maintenance. I was responsible for managing the testing phase of major product releases (50+ server side components, 30+ clients, two server side platforms - WIntel, Tandem, two DBMSs - DB2, NonStop SQL). I also introduced QA culture in the company, tailored software development process, developed and implemented company standards and procedures. From July 2000 to October 2006 (6 years 4 months) Software QA and Test Engineer/Software Developer @ I joined this company as a software developer when it was about 4 people large at the very beginning, but eventually it became about 100 people company. Then I decided to extend my professional horisons and became a QA. I started and managed a QA department within the company. I developed and implemented several sets of company standards and procedures for different kinds of projects. One series of projects (Y2K) was done for Delta Air Lines. I also carried out QA activities and testing phases in numerous different projects. From June 1997 to July 2000 (3 years 2 months) Software Engineer @ The company sold Apple hardware and software to various customers. I was responsible for customer needs analysis, preparation and implementation of suitable solution - from small to medium networks of computes and peripherals for office and desktop publishing systems. From October 1994 to August 1997 (2 years 11 months) master, electronics @ Ukrainian National Technical University From 1989 to 1995 Volodymyr Bekesha is skilled in: Agile Methodologies, SQL, Informatica, Java, Oracle, Unix, TIBCO, OrcaNG, JMS, Investment Banking, Industrial Automation, Telecommunications, OSS/BSS, Scripting, deployment automation
