It has always been my strong point to work with groups of individuals to achieve goals. The common thread in my experience is outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to motivate individuals to increase their productivity, and promote corporate values. My goal is to work with an international corporation that combines education and travel that will change the world through its educational programs.
This desire led me to my previous work with The Young Women's League of New Canaan CT. I decided that I wanted to do more than just volunteer. I wanted to help orchestrate others to do more for their community. The League provided that opportunity for Members to serve on various charitable organizations. Fundraising is an essential goal of the League for the purpose of distributing grants to local charitable non-profit agencies in need. The last objective of the League is to promote the social, cultural and educational interests of its Members (women).
The League has been an outlet for me to expand my gift of giving to others. I have learned the dynamics of what is involved to work and lead a charitable organization. My association with the YWL has helped define my belief that I can help change the world into a better place through the act of Giving.
