Junior Talent Advisor @ Hootsuite helps organizations use the social web to launch marketing campaigns, identify and grow audience, and distribute targeted messages across multiple channels.
Using Hootsuite’s unique social media dashboard, teams can collaboratively schedule updates to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Wordpress and other social networks via web, desktop or mobile platforms plus track campaign results and industry trends to rapidly adjust tactics.
What do I do? As a part of the Talent Management Team at Hootsuite, Talent Advisors (like me!) help grow and retain high performing, culturally aligned talent; our owls. We are champions of Hootsuite's culture and values and are embedded partners of the business; we strive to help leaders build and optimize their organizations by being collaborative and transparent. As leaders ourselves, we do this through coaching on leadership, navigating and resolving employee relations and managing programs that help develop our peeps. From November 2015 to Present (2 months) Talent Specialist @ Role | With the mission to elevate Talent at Relic from good to great, I collaborated with the team to dig deep into our entire philosophy towards attracting, supporting, and retaining great people. It meant evaluating our tactical approaches across all Talent portfolios and looking to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

• Revamped the offer and on-boarding process for all new hires
• Created feedback mechanism for new employees to provide feedback on the recruitment and onboarding process
• Launched a comprehensive ‘askHR’ intranet, increasing the awareness and accessibility of Talent programs
• Managed employee relocation and immigration; supporting 8+ work permit and residency applications in 6 months
• Supported managers in performance management efforts by advising on annual review efforts & individual concerns
• Built a Relocation & Immigration Framework to clarify the organization’s role in supporting the relocation and immigration of our employees
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for various technical and creative roles, successfully completing hard to fill roles within an unprecedented time frame – ie. stagnant 4-month long job opening was filled within 30 days
• Identified and resolved gaps in compliance with employment standards
