Head of IT - Digital, Marketing & Communications @ I lead the IT function responsible for all technology services provided to the global digital, marketing, and communications functions.
Reporting directly to the CIO for GSK Consumer Healthcare, I am a member of the global IT leadership team.
Responsible for technology strategy, delivery, and service I lead an international group of IT professionals.
I'm passionate about ensuring that marketers are enabled with world class technology allowing them to truly engage with our consumers in the digital world. From June 2015 to Present (7 months) Head of IT Business Partnering - Global Marketing, Medical & Regulatory @ Senior IT Director responsible for partnering Marketing functions globally across GSK, including both the Consumer Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals divisions.
Additionally responsible for providing IT partnering to the Commercial and Consumer Healthcare Medical and Regulatory global functions, the Consumer Healthcare Global Communications function as well as owning the commercial IT mergers, acquisitions and disposals program.
Accountable to the most senior members of these functions for all IT services relating to these groups including definition and alignment of the IT strategy with global business goals, and ownership of the respective global IT project portfolios.
Leads an international team of IT business partners who support these global functions and their associated global office locations. From July 2013 to June 2015 (2 years) Head of IT Business Partnering - Global Marketing and R&D @ IT Director responsible for partnering the R&D and Marketing functions globally.
Role includes owning the IT relationship with the most senior members of R&D and Marketing within the Consumer Healthcare business, defining IT strategy, owning the functional IT project portfolios, and ensuring IT service in line with business expectations.
Leads an international team of IT business partners who support both of these global functions and their associated global office locations.

This includes managing demand for IT resources, driving innovation through technology and providing IT "consultancy", and ensuring IT service in line with user expectations.
Primary focus is looking at how the organisation can collaborate more effectively through social media and digital technologies. Looking at the future of our corporate sharepoint intranet and how it can be developed into a more "social" tool - driving innovation and knowledge management.

Responsible for managing behaviour change through effective use of technology throughout the category teams (approx 2000 staff) and initiating technology pilots to support category requirements.
Key areas of focus included developing the use of "virtual" technologies to reduce organisational travel - a key priority set by the global board. Example of initiatives included the use of video based technologies for the purposes of leadership communication, organisational effectiveness, dispersed team management and collaboration. From April 2007 to February 2010 (2 years 11 months) IT Project Manager - Global Solutions @ Accountable for the delivery of IT applications needed to support new corporate headquarters.
Included end to end project management and delivery through internal service providers. Lead project initiation of European CRM solution across UK businesses. Included stakeholder management both at UK and European director level, as well as across UK sales organisation. Initiated significant process re-design and improvement throughout business to maximise synergies both at UK and European levels.
