Ms. Konjkav received her two Bachelors of Arts degrees in Global Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) in June 2010. She has been working in the energy conservation area since January 2013 with job experience in the solar industry and green building design.
Skills learned at the UCSC include natural resource economics, CEPA/NEQA guidelines (environmental policy), environmental inequality and justice, international markets, and biostatistics.
As a member of GEI’s Corporate Sustainability Program, Sormeh is working to minimize GEI’s carbon footprint to enhance both corporate and natural working environments. She also supports other GEI staff with useful data and findings to help clients in projects that incorporate GHG-reducing practices.
Since working at GEI, Sormeh has worked on various projects that include data analysis, research and grant applications.
Sormeh also has her credential as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, trained in all aspects and uses of Envision® sustainable infrastructure rating system
