Sheldon is a seasoned legal executive. He has practiced in both law firm and in-house settings, working with fast-growth entrepreneurial companies as well as multi-billion dollar global enterprises. He has extensive international experience and has a strong background working on the following types of matters: M&A, technology and commercial transactions; corporate securities; governance, corporate compliance, EPA and FDA regulated businesses, and marketing matters. He served as division counsel to Clorox's namesake $2B+ Cleaning Division and Clorox’s International Division; led Clorox’s global corporate compliance program; served as Clorox's lead M&A attorney; and provided enterprise-wide legal oversight and leadership over Clorox’s Marketing, Privacy, Regulatory, Licensing and Technology Transactions matters. In addition, he has worked on corporate governance, SEC/'34 Act and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance matters. He has a strong track record of driving lean practices through processes and workflow management.
Sheldon began his legal career as a corporate securities attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he specialized in representing private and public technology companies in '33 Act securities and debt offerings, venture financings, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, '34 Act reporting and other strategic transactions. Prior to law school, Sheldon worked in the Los Angeles office of KPMG Peat Marwick as a certified public accountant.
