I also redesigned the tracking and storage of the surgical instrument and implant inventory system, created a quality inspection protocol to help lower the risk of dirty/unsterile instrument usage in surgery, managed $45 million worth of vendor implants and instruments, maximized the use of on hand inventory and developed a reprocessing protocol for external fixation systems. Our approach is to prevent organic matter from drying on the distal tip and internal channels by providing the ability to pre-soak with mechanical fluid agitation at point of use and during transport to decontamination.
