I am an information security practitioner with solid expertise across all ten domains. I have direct experience building information security practices as well as turning around troubled infosec teams. I have been involved in multiple mergers, acquisitions and divestitures from an information security perspective. I have created, maintained and communicated information security policy and architecture across large organizations. I am comfortable interacting with highly technical staff, line and 'C' level management.
Chief Information Security Officer @ I am responsible for Warner Bros.’ overall security posture and risk management, serving as a central point of contact for the information and content security practice. I work closely with all studio business units and enterprise divisions – partnering to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Warner Bros. and Time Warner services and assets.
More specifically, I manage a team (internal and outsourced resources) of security executives, managers and engineers achieving optimal use of staff and resources towards planning, development, implementation and maintenance of all IT and Content Security technologies related to the secure operation of Warner Bros. systems and services. I also manage the security operations center (SOC) capability for all Time Warner divisions including monitoring, forensics and logging systems, monitoring divisional environments for anomalies and threats and response to security incidents through a global security incident response. This includes providing initial and ongoing security due diligence such as network and application penetration testing of internal and relevant third party vendors, systems and solutions. I also manage the creation, maintenance and compliance activities related to Time Warner and Warner Bros. information security policies, standard, and procedures. This includes responsibility for PCI DSS and information security compliance with respect to International privacy requirements. I am responsible for our ongoing, award winning, security awareness programs and training activities for Warner Bros. staff and IT resources.
Lastly, I have implemented a multi-year Global Security Program to further enhance the security posture of the studio through the implementation of current and next generation interlocking security controls. From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Owner @ As an Information Security Practitioner, I leverage my 15 years of information security leadership and technical experience to manage information security risks, solve complex security problems and build strong security teams. I am engaged in various initiatives within the information security community with a focus on data parsing, analysis, correlation and visualization capabilities. From January 2000 to Present (16 years) Executive Director, Web Hosting and Content Security Operations @ From March 2008 to January 2015 (6 years 11 months) Director IS Security @ I was responsible for the success of all IS Security initiatives as well as providing guidance, technical support and mentoring for all IS Security staff. I organized and executed several security symposiums, which included keynotes by our CIO and talks by 20 industry experts in the field of information security. We averaged 300 participants including members of the local FBI cyber-squad and several local companies. During my tenure our CIO received a letter of commendation from the Agent In Charge of the cyber-squads regarding my teams programs, awareness program and summit. From October 2007 to March 2008 (6 months) Principal IS Security Architect @ I was responsible for information systems security issues enterprise wide. I provided 7x24 global incident response and consultative security engineering services to Amgen’s global community. I participated in the creation and helped to maintain Amgen’s global security policy. I designed, implemented and supported our global IDS and forensic data collection architecture. I created and led a global extended security team include 50 representatives from across the enterprise. From January 2000 to October 2007 (7 years 10 months) Sr. UNIX Network Eng @ I was responsible for all UNIX systems including 25 enterprise class, mission-critical servers and 100 workstations in three offices nation wide. I was responsible for all LAN/WAN network support, configuration, design and sizing. I was responsible for all LAN/WAN/Internet security issues including Internet Firewalls. From May 1997 to August 1999 (2 years 4 months) Sr. UNIX Administrator @ As the Sr. UNIX administrator I was responsible for 240 workstations and
servers including several mission-critical environments. I was responsible for
planning and execution of all changes to these environments. I also acted as a
