Senior Digital Designer / Animator @ Getting to grips with the Ogilvy creative process has been a fascinating experience. Our department works on the rather more unusual projects which require the utmost creative care and attention. I was initially brought in to look after the design and animation of Expedia's digital display campaigns however my remit has since expanded broadly to also include the Philips, BP, Pizza Hut, American Express and Amnesty International accounts. From May 2014 to Present (1 year 6 months) London, United KingdomDigital Designer / Creative Technologist @ The highlight of this role was the conceptualisation and design of a mind-controlled game for UKTI (the UK Government's Trade & Investment Dept. – part of the Dept. for Business, Innovation and Skills) to promote their 'Sirius' programme for entrepreneurs. Players must each wear an EEG headband which measures brain activity to identify the player's level of concentration and relaxation. The game then uses these metrics to affect flying characteristics (speed, stability etc.) of a spacecraft on screen. The player who first reaches Sirius, (the brightest star in the sky) wins! I am particularly proud of my touchscreens project. Three of these screens were mounted in the theatre windows by the river which allowed passers-by to easily browse an electronic version of the season brochure and see what’s on in the building. I designed and built the interface in Flash using ActionScript.
