Senior Interior Designer @ From April 2014 to Present (1 year 6 months) Senior Interior Designer / Consultant @ ADD Inc joined the Raffles City Chongqing team to consult on the interior design of all public lobbies in the 8.8 million square foot mixed use development on the banks of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers in China. I worked closely with Moshe Safdie and his incredibly talented team of architects in the Somerville headquarters. The project, slated to be complete in 2015, consists of eight residential and office towers rising out of a six level retail complex with five levels of underground parking below. The site can be accessed on foot, by car, bus and subway, as well as by a public ferry. The historic Chaotian Gate to the city sits at the northern most tip of the site. Emperors historically addressed residents from this geographically significant location. The developer, CapitalLand Ltd is also planning for a hotel, convention center, long-term stay apartments and a sky bridge connecting the top of the four south towers. This two level glass conservatory will house a sky park with hotel amenities as well as a public observation deck and a private club with various function areas. The towers are reminiscent of sails representing the ancient and present day importance of shipping for this province. The interiors will evoke feelings of water and ship hulls. Materials will take cues from the dramatically different colors of the two rivers that converge from the east, brown and from the west, blue. A refined, neutral palette consisting of elegant detailed natural stones and accented with reflective and highly polished surfaces will entice the high-end luxury market that the client is looking to attract. I feel honored to have been a part of this truly unique design experience. From January 2014 to April 2014 (4 months) Somerville, MASenior Designer / Manager @ Design vision, like a business plan, establishes the framework for achieving exciting and strategic results.

From 2003 to 2007 (4 years) Interior Design Intern @ Niemitz Design Group, based in Boston, is focused solely on the foodservice and hospitality industries with a client list that includes Legal Sea Foods, Capital Grille and Walt Disney -- a project that encompassed nine American-themed restaurants at EuroDisney in Paris. Foodservice operators who have worked with Niemitz over the years say one of his biggest strengths as a designer is that he takes the time to understand their restaurant concepts. One of Niemitz's oldest clients is Boston-based Legal Sea Foods. Niemitz, who began working with the company in 1980, has designed most of the restaurants in the 17-unit chain.
"He has evolved with us," says Roger Berkowitz, the head of the Legal Sea Foods chain. "His design is a great representation of how we have evolved in different venues. He works with us. He doesn't play catch-up, and he isn't too far ahead. In terms of our menu and service development, he keeps pace with it." From 2002 to 2003 (1 year)
