Appointed by the Office of the Governor to represent the State of Tennessee's entertainment industry. Primary focus includes advancing the strategic goals of the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission (“TFEMC”); representing Tennessee's key industry assets and competitive advantages both statewide and abroad; strategic adviser to senior government officials; providing State Legislators’ with analysis of the State's entertainment sector.
Executive Director @ The Tennessee Entertainment Commission ("TEC") is an Office of the Governor responsible for developing & implementing strategy to advance the State's entertainment sector for the purpose of encouraging infrastructure growth and job creation.
Manage daily operations of the ("TEC") office and staff. Establish and advance relationships across a spectrum of sects within the State's entertainment industry. Manage and implement the State's only production incentives program for film, music, television and commercials. Collaborate with government and private industry leadership to cultivate policy and strategy that reflect best practices for program management. Promote and encourage the use of the State's entertainment resources to companies nationwide. Allocate sponsorship's and grants to organizations advancing the State's entertainment industry. Engage with stakeholders and industry professionals through public speaking. Collaborate on marketing materials and branding strategies. From October 2011 to Present (4 years 3 months) Senior Project Manager @ Managed the logistics and resources for inbound production projects. Consulted with regional leadership on structuring best practices for incoming film/TV productions. Guided mediation's between private business, government officials and production companies. Managed both Location Manager and Community Liaison positions within the Commission. Organized logistics and marketing materials for trade shows. Assisted the Executive Director in client development and marketing strategy. From July 2003 to October 2011 (8 years 4 months) Locations Manager @ Responsible for managing and distributing the State's film locations database. Facilitated production permitting with local and State governments. Coordinated travel logistics & scheduling for production scouting. Acted as an intergovernmental liaison on behalf of in bound production companies. Assisted with on site logistics and troubleshooting. From October 2002 to July 2003 (10 months) Media Coordinator/Travel Logistics @ Established media relations with local newspapers, TV & radio stations across the State of Tennessee. Managed media buys, and developed radio & TV advertisements.
Organized on-site interviews with local media. Managed statewide travel logistics. Collaborated on marketing materials and organized trade shows. From January 2002 to October 2002 (10 months) Radio Producer @ Produced radio programming for local talk, sports and religious shows. Wrote/ produced/directed commercials for station marketing campaigns. Introduced a new media mix of radio and Internet to sponsor station events and promotions.
