From the beginning, I have remained focused on helping the work of healthcare providers and their staff. From January 1989 to Present (27 years) United StatesEmergency Physician and Board-Certified Internist @ In this position, I started the first Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens (substitute work) in California. I worked in dozens of different medical practices, which helped me discover the essence of medical charting, because the medical record was usually the only point of contact between the regular physician and myself. From 1986 to 1998 (12 years) Founder and President @ Created the new practice of “house calls” to hotels and, with a group of doctors, provided immediate medical care to guests of major Los Angeles hotels. From 1995 to 1997 (2 years) Emergency Physician - Director of Three Emergency Departments @ Shortly after graduation, I entered the field of Emergency Medicine, which was brand new at that time. I became a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and thereafter directed the Emergency Departments of Valley West Hospital in Los Gatos, California, Hazel Hawkins Hospital in Hollister, California, and Santa Cruz Community Hospital, in Santa Cruz, California. I was in charge of twenty emergency physicians.
