I have always been in the forefront of my profession, searching for innovative ways to solve technical, financial and operational aspects of scientific problems by integrating knowledge and technology, reducing cost, and increasing productivity. I am a result oriented, focused and committed techno-commercial professional with 12 plus years of research & management experience from academics/drug discovery contract research industry with major focus on Business Development, strategic planning, financial modeling, sales forecasting, competitive analysis, market research, decision analysis, transaction due diligence, marketing strategy, strategic investment analysis and structure based drug design. Over the years I have acquired exceptional team building, communication & problem solving skills along with a wide international experience in scientific research, corporate strategy, business development, market research and project management as part of my techno-commercial career.

-Worked on structure based drug discovery (SBDD) projects for various international pharma clients like Pfizer, Eli Lilly, Endo-Pharma (public domain info), etc primarily on oncology therapeutic area
-Structural biology lead in drug discovery team which delivered various preclinical milestones to global pharma on a oncology target.
-Was involved in cloning, expression-purification and protein structure determination using x-ray crystallography, enzyme-kinetics and have also provided business development support like writing business proposals and costing etc
-Successfully determined various apo- and ligand-bound structures.
-Worked with CEO, BD head and other scientific heads and leaders on various business development activities like integrated business proposal writing, costing, drafting terms sheets, MSAs and CDAs, financial modeling and was involved company's annual strategy presented to the board From July 2010 to January 2012 (1 year 7 months) Senior Research Scientist B-Structural Biology @ As a Senior Scientist with my supervisor & Vice President (VP) Dr Ajith Kamath, I had initiated the integration of various units within the SB department. The major idea was to enable SB department to perform and deliver gene-2-structure projects more effectively. Was appointed as the project Leader for Jubilant-Pfizer SB collaboration for two projects in April 2008. Along with my VP, I was instrumental in identifying and establishing a team who delivered both programs ahead of time-lines, which resulted in long term collaboration with Pfizer for next few years. Personally, I was involved in identifying and establishing protocols, troubleshooting for cloning, expression-purification and structure determination. Delivering multiple ligand bound structures to the Pfizer. To motivate the group and enhancing their skill sets, with the help of my Vice President, I was able to formulate a strategy, where each member of the team was given ownership to perform their roles and learn various activities available within the group. This empowerment of the group members with diverse skill sets, helped us to enhance our department's revenue many folds. Our Group’s efforts were recognized in 2008 & 2010 where we were rewarded as the best team. From March 2008 to June 2010 (2 years 4 months) Postdoctoral Research Associate @ -Worked on a major structural genomic project (NYGXRC) to solve the three dimensional structures of various important proteins headed by SGX Pharmaceutical.
-Manual and robotics crystallization using hanging drop and sitting drop vapor diffusion methods.
-Data collection at National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS).
-Structure solution using various methods like; MR/SAD/MAD/MIR and various crystallography programs.
-Worked on the expression, purification and mutagenesis of Human VAMP2, target for four botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) serotypes (B, D, F and G).
-Communicated results of the research to peer-reviewed journals and scientific meetings. From January 2006 to January 2008 (2 years 1 month) Research officer @ Cloning and sequencing of TcR for HLA DR7-restricted Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV)-specific T cells. From March 2005 to January 2006 (11 months) Research Fellow @ -Isolated various thermophilic bacterial strains from hot water springs for primary characterization.
