What industry does Peter Sherry work in?
Peter Sherry works in the Management Consulting industry.
I have extensive experience working as an economist in the energy sector, both in energy regulation and now as a consultant. I have worked on a diverse range of projects, including on security of supply and environmental policy, wholesale energy market design, network risk outputs for electricity distribution, the regulatory cost of capital, network incentives, and capex assessment for electricity transmission. I joined Redpoint Energy (a business of Baringa Partners), as an energy consultant in 2011. Since joining I have worked on a range of projects providing policy, regulatory and strategic advice to clients in both the private sector and the UK civil service. Prior to joining Redpoint in 2011, I was a senior economist with the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) in London. I worked first in the network regulation branch on Distribution Price Control Review 5 ('DPCR5'), with a focus on network outputs (now a key part of the new RIIO framework). I then worked in the markets division on a range of issues such as gas security of supply, electricity balancing, and Ofgem input to the UK Government's Electricity Market Reform (EMR). Prior to Ofgem, I worked for the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) in Melbourne, Australia. At the AER I took a leading role on a capex review for electricity transmission, as well as a sector-wide review of the regulatory cost of capital.Senior Manager @ From November 2011 to Present (4 years) Senior Economist @ From May 2009 to November 2011 (2 years 7 months) Senior Analyst @ From February 2006 to April 2009 (3 years 3 months) Bachelor of Economics (with Honours), Bachelor of Commerce @ Monash University From 2000 to 2005 Peter Sherry is skilled in: Economic Regulation, Energy Policy, Energy Markets, Energy, Economics, Stakeholder Engagement, Electricity Markets, Renewable Energy, Policy, Policy Analysis, Government, Environmental Policy, Strategy, Commodity Markets, Energy Regulation, Gas, Management, Project Management, Smart Grid
