Developed innovative software solutions that led to improved inertial navigation performance, including the derivation of new virtual measurement corrections, detection of virtual measurement opportunities, and detection/handling of elevators and escalators. San Francisco Bay AreaPrincipal Engineer II @ MSA Sought to bring indoor pedestrian navigation to first responder markets. Redesigned the algorithm to meet customer deployment requirements, real-time embedded computation requirements, and to significantly increase the overall navigation performance, consistency, and robustness.Firefighter Location- Inspired change; proposed and encouraged an alternate DSP-based design to address SWaP-C concerns that ultimately led to a successful product; wrote all supporting software.- Designed, developed, and analyzed the inertial navigation algorithm.- Developed innovative techniques to address customer deployment use cases.- Developed all real-time embedded software, including boot loader, drivers, and application.- Implemented real-time embedded software on a TI TMS320C6745 DSP and PIC18.
