Category Buyer @ From March 2011 to Present (4 years 10 months) Master Scheduler @ Responsible for efficient scheduling of manufacturing and assembly operations, control of system inventory as well as management of inbound and outbound shipments. • Working directly with materials buyer, determined required safety stock and days on hand of raw, semi-finished and finished products. Resulted in overall inventory decrease from $4.9 to $3.8 million. • Successfully scheduled several date and piece driven design changes on continuous batch produced components as well as one full engine series phase out. Outperformed 1.5% overrun budget of obsolete components on each change. • Organized, executed and analyzed three quarterly physical inventories with approximately $5 million in inventory and 900 unique materials. Based on results implemented new warehousing and materials movement processes and procedures. Resulted in improved ease of production reporting as well as accuracy of material stocks. Resulted in 17% annual cost savings, reduced inventory, increased service and an improved supplier relationship. • Effectively handled commercial issues that arose with suppliers, including assessing and challenging performance regarding on-time delivery, quality, price and responsiveness. Also, promptly resolved all disputes regarding invoice vs. actual receipts within 30 day target window. • Played a key role in integration process for acquired company. Worked directly with master data department to document new products, materials and suppliers, determine correct bills of material for each product and integrate new materials and suppliers into the supply chain.
