We developed the software using an Agile approach whilst adhering to TDD practises. The app was created using the Ionic Framework, which communicated with a backend REST API hosted on AWS, the backend was built using NodeJS, ExpressJS, AngularJS and MongoDB. The backend also had an admin interface where the mobile app users can be managed and user activity could be seen. Tasks: User interface and user experience design, configuring backend, Unit testing, daily release, learning new frameworks and libraries, documentation. Projects: Part of an Agile team responsible for creating and deploying an internal application to AWS for the world’s largest on-line retailer. The project involved TDD development of both front-end and back-end code, integrated using a secure REST based Web API. The back-end made use of Amazon’s DynamoDB as a persistent data store and Amazon S3 for data file uploads. The application was hosted on an Amazon EC2 instance running Apache Tomcat.
