From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Technology and Security Consultant @ Provided technology, security, social media, and product development leadership to companies expanding products into security, cloud services, web services and social media. Co-creator of The CISO Group and SAQPro™, a cloud-based merchant PCI compliance SaaS service. Led the development of social media influence strategies for organizations including Secure64 and University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. Interim CTO for Absolute Performance, a SaaS application performance management service. Led the creation of a web services based workflow integration strategy for Red Prairie. Security services encompasses PKI and trust management services, provided through CableLabs and its wholly own subsidiary NetworkFX, essential to securing broadband and other connected devices. IT's focus is on creating a customer centric environment that fosters innovation and collaboration for customers across the globe. This includes implementing a hybrid private-public cloud supporting labs in Colorado and Silicon Valley, leveraging cloud services technologies including Amazon EC2, Rackspace, OpenStack, VMware, and UCS. From February 2010 to June 2015 (5 years 5 months) CTO and Co-Founder @ Vozle is a mobile software platform company specializing in mobile collaboration applications that leverage localization, document annotation and voice recognition technology. Our product, Vozle, is an integrated iOS mobile app and cloud-based geolocation, tagging, annotation and voice recognition content solution. From May 2008 to February 2010 (1 year 10 months) CTO, CIO, GM, VP Engineering @ StillSecure is a business I was a part of building from its inception. As CTO and VP Engineering our team brought a suite of innovative, award winning security products to market. Safe Access and Strata Guard received "Best Of" winners in their respective categories and VAM received numerous accolades as well. As GM of Cobia, our Unified Threat Management product, we pioneered delivering security products as a virtual software appliance on commodity hardware. As CTO and VP Customer Experience I led product strategy and design for all security products, customer experience interviews, served as the spokesperson to press and analysts and at security industry events. From October 2000 to October 2007 (7 years 1 month) CIO & VP Network Engineering @ As the first employee, I began in the lab by prototyping our service and network design which resulted in the deployment of a broadband services network with over 500 POPs in 14 months. With the added responsibility of Customer Operations and IT, I had the joy of working with numerous talented people and led a significant portion of the business. From April 1990 to April 1996 (6 years 1 month) Sr Engineer, Manager Advanced Technology Projects @ Formed technology transfer group, led new technology pilot and development projects, course author and lecturer in Research Systems Engineer program, implemented telecom systems utilizing code generators, and developed and database administrator for large integrated banking systems.
