The main feature of the app is the building recognition (Augmented Reality) which allows users to recognize buildings by positioning the camera in the direction of a building, if it recognizes the building, the name of the building will be rendered to the scene as an extra information layer. This individual project involved a number of additional APIs, which are Google Direction API, Google Map v2 and Vuforia API. I used phpMyAdmin (DBMS) to implementing and managing the MySQL database regarding the user and location information, PHP Server-Side script language which was used to process the client request to/ from server. From this project I have gained a good understanding of the implementation techniques required for developing dynamic Android applications.
