From September 2014 to March 2015 (7 months) Cofounder @ As an undergrad I cofounded CampusBid, a student facing online market place. After presenting CampusBid at the Regions Bank New Venture Challenge, my cofounders and I were awarded the first runner up prize of $5,000 startup capital. From 2013 to August 2014 (1 year) ACM Chapter President @ "ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. ACM provides the computing field's premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources."
I served as the president of Samford University's ACM Chapter for one year. From August 2013 to May 2014 (10 months) Student Senate Code of Laws Chairman @ As the Code of Laws chair for senate, I am responsible for ensuring that the code of laws for SGA is up to date and relevant. My committee reviews and revises this governing document so that I can present our proposed changes to senate, for voting. During my time as the code of laws chair, we plan to revise this document for the first time in seven years. From June 2013 to May 2014 (1 year) Student Senator @ Students at Samford elect Senators to represent them in the Student Government Association each year. I was selected to represent off-campus constituents and have served on the Code of Laws committee as well. It is our responsibility to revise and update the Code of Laws by which Samford's SGA is to abide. From August 2012 to May 2014 (1 year 10 months) Connections Leader @ Connections Leaders are selected to lead incoming freshman in their first few days at Samford. It is our responsibility to help them become acclimated not only to collegiate life, but the Samford Community and Birmingham in general. Connections activities last for 3 days after which we serve as an available resource to any freshman. From August 2011 to September 2013 (2 years 2 months) Software Development Intern @ As a Software Development Intern at Drillinginfo, I had the opportunity to assist in the development of the online DI 2.0 Platform using technologies such as: JavaScript, jQuery, Python, PHP, and multiple SQL database systems. During my time ad Drillinginfo, I built a web application that processes all user queries and creates visualizations using Highcharts. This provided the management team with a deeper insight to user behavior. From June 2013 to August 2013 (3 months) Austin, Texas AreaSpecialist @ My job as a specialist was to connect consumers to the sometimes intimidating world of Apple technology. This means that I was required to translate complex technical information into real world value for customers everyday. I became well-versed in customer-employee interaction and was able to lead several workshops in the store. I also had the opportunity to lead Apple's summer camp sessions for children. From June 2010 to February 2012 (1 year 9 months) Intern @ I worked as an interactive and marketing strategy intern at archer>malmo.
