My experience included extensive involvement in all aspects of the litigation process from the investigative phase through trial in the area of commercial transportation and data privacy where I handled a variety of negligence actions and contract disputes. My practice focused on the representation of all aspects of the businesses of retailers, distributors/manufacturers, motor carriers, logistics providers, rail intermodal terminal services providers, distributors, intermodal businesses, other corporate entities, and their insurers in both state and federal court. While in this position, I presented both corporate and non-corporate representatives for their discovery depositions, participated in expert depositions, and took the lead on depositions of treating physicians, plaintiffs, and investigating officers. On the transactional side of things, I analyzed transportation and logistics agreements for tender of defense and breach of indemnification lawsuit opportunities. I counseled corporate transportation clients and in house counsel about transportation contracts, indemnity issues, conflicts of interests, best practices and termination issues. I furthered my motion/research practice by regularly drafting summary judgment motions, forum motions, motions to compel, motions to dismiss, as well as case-specific analytical reports to clients on fact investigation, assessment, and valuation. From January 2012 to July 2015 (3 years 7 months) Trial Attorney @ While in this position, I individually tried forty-two jury trials to verdict, tried one bench trial, and defended my clients in over two-hundred mandatory court arbitrations in Cook County, Illinois and the surrounding counties of Lake, Will, DuPage, and McHenry County, Illinois. I was featured in the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter for the above-mentioned trials. My writing experience included post-verdict motions for a new trial, motions to reconsider, motions to quash, motions in limine, motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, motions to compel, motions to vacate default judgments, and motions to vacate barring orders.
