Customer Success @ Ensuring the daily success for GitHub Enterprise customers in Silicon Valley. From 2015 to Present (less than a year) San Francisco Bay AreaAdvanced Excel Course Instructor @ I get to teach eager student-professionals how to use Microsoft Excel in even more powerful ways. I developed the curriculum, schedule the courses, and teach in both in-classroom and online settings. My courses have appeared as features on the General Assembly website, and I taught several bite-sized learnings for the Google for Entrepreneurs series. From 2013 to Present (2 years) Greater New York City AreaClient Services @ I led the implementation strategy and day-to-day operations with multiple Fortune 500 CPGs for a SaaS trade promotions test platform, including test design, user ramp-up, insights, product feedback/improvements, and client engagement metrics.
I also developed expertise in social media marketing platforms as a testing vehicle for consumer behavior. Our team identified multi-percentage improvements in both product volume sales and profitability for all clients (equating to ~$10 million-plus), and for that, my clients gave me incessant high-fives. From April 2014 to December 2014 (9 months) San Francisco Bay AreaFounder @ I built the initial operational and web/mobile product strategy for an early-stage social networking startup. My client generated $500K seed investment during engagement, and it looks beautiful - you can see it at imprint.us
I also developed the strategy and early-stage execution plan for creating a $50m impact investing fund for The Skillman Foundation.
On the side, I served as Strategy and Business Development Partner at SWARM NYC (swarmnyc.com). From 2012 to 2014 (2 years) Detroit, MI; Brooklyn, NYConsultant @ I assessed existing manufacturing operations and led on-site process workshops for a growing CPG to identify $15 million in immediately-deployed cost improvements. I got to wear a bunny suit in the factory.
I also performed due diligence of acquisition targets for an automotive electronics supplier to accelerate their top-line growth. I gained extremely deep insights into the automotive technology landscape and helped my client successfully perform multiple acquisitions that were lauded by the Street.
Additionally, I oversaw the “industry knowledge” and competitive analysis phase of strategic due diligence for a private equity client. I conducted dozens of interviews with industry experts, Fortune 1000 CEOs, and a few car salesmen to help my client successfully complete their acquistion. From August 2010 to June 2012 (1 year 11 months) Consultant, Business Innovation and Support (RMI) @ I built an Excel model to optimize staff and program resources for 4m annual tons of food distribution with the United Nations’ World Food Programme.
You really need to see this Excel model. I wrapped it up and gave it to my parents for Christmas. "Best gift I've ever received" -- Dad From 2012 to 2012 (less than a year) Rome Area, ItalyCo-Founder, VP of Technology, and Advisor @ I worked alongside two other Founders to commercialize a high-technology solution that produces a key component in the solar panel manufacturing supply chain. Working alongside a team of rocket scientists (no, seriously), I served as the technical liaison, identifying critical steps forward to ensure the technology would come to market in reasonable time.
Our efforts were recognized by organizations such as DTE, The Zell Lurie Institute, Walmart, and several potential acquirers within the first three months of inception.
