My background is actually in the theatre. Strange transition to tech, I know, but the skills I acquired in my ten-year theatre career make me the best team player you will find. I have been involved in over 200 different productions, collaborating with strong-headed artists and developing projects in very limited lengths of time. My place in many of those teams was the pep-talking, motivational one, often being elected Cast Deputy or being offered management roles. This translated into leadership roles at Dev Bootcamp, including being unofficially elected “Cultural Ambassador” by my cohort simply because I liked to engage the team in outings and liked to check in with everyone and made sure no team member was falling behind on group projects. I was also asked to be a Teaching Assistant right out of graduation due to my ability to communicate about code and my willingness to be helpful.
I am an extremely focused, ambitious, and voracious learner who is ready to commit to a dynamic, engaged team to build something beautiful and meaningful in this world. Please take a chance on this newb and let me “audition” for you in person.
