Leanne Caret is president, Global Services & Support (GS&S), a Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit. GS&S provides support that begins at product inception and continues until retirement from service. The business is the U.S. Department of Defense’s largest performance-based logistics contractor and an industry leader in sustainment solutions for Boeing and select non-Boeing platforms. As GS&S President, Caret leads a team of more than 15,000 employees in 295 locations around the world including operations in Australia, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. Before assuming her current duties, Caret was vice president, Finance and BDS Chief Financial Officer where she led a global organization of nearly 5,000 employees responsible for all BDS financial activities. Previously, Caret had been vice president and general manager, Vertical Lift, a division of Boeing Military Aircraft. She was responsible for business growth and program execution for a portfolio of cargo, tiltrotor and attack rotorcraft. Caret joined the company in 1988 and has held various program management positions in the defense business. Caret holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree in Accounting from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wichita State University. She also earned certifications from Harvard University in the Program for Leadership Development and the International Security Defense Program and completed the Integral Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame. Caret is secretary/treasurer of the Board of Directors for AHS International – The Vertical Flight Technical Society, and is a member of Women in Aerospace and Women in Aviation International. She also serves on the Widener University Board of Trustees.
