From December 2013 to April 2015 (1 year 5 months) Research Assistant @ Brain Networks and Randomization Processes – Searching for Important Neural Structures For Generating SPW wave • Implemented MCMC algorithms in Java for shuffling a 4000 by 4000 square matrix, which was built upon neural activity data of the hippocampus of a human brain. • Analyzed the shuffled matrix using python Brian and other statistics methods to study conditions necessary for human brain’s production of the SPW pattern, a brain signal observed when human beings are forming memories. From September 2014 to December 2014 (4 months) Research Assistant @ Self-Healing Home Network – Diagnosing Network Problems through Performance Data Collection • Used Java and Python to collect network performance data (bandwidth, delay and packet loss, jitter and throughput data) from a simulated home network, which consisted of two Mac laptops, a PC, a Mac desktop, and an Android tablet. • Designed and implemented various experiments to test how distances between devices, streaming videos, and time of a day had influenced the performance of the simulated home network.
