Kirkor Suri’s experience in real estate development encompasses a 30-year range of large profitable land developments in the Los Angeles and Ventura counties. One of Kirkor’s first major projects was a joint venture partnership in which he was involved in an acquisition of a twelve story commercial building owned and occupied by Western Federal Savings in downtown, Los Angeles. The purchase of this building opened up many different opportunities for Kirkor in which he took advantage of the booming retail jewelry business by taking part in building conversion projects of various retail jewelry stores and malls. Simultaneously, Kirkor formed a partnership with another investor and together, they purchased the Greyhound bus terminal in Los Angeles and turned it into a flourishing retail fashion district. Kirkor, along with his business partner, then moved their ventures to the Malibu residential real estate market. He selected prime locations such as La Costa Beach, Malibu Park, Malibu Road, Serra Retreat, and Carbon Canyon to develop exclusive and luxurious custom-designed residences for Malibu’s most elite clients. He worked with the most prestigious architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the entire building process. His homes have made a unique mark in the Malibu residential market. Currently, Kirkor is the managing partner of Malibu RE Investments LLC and has undertaken a major development project consisting of an 80 acre property positioned in the exclusive Malibu area known as Carbon Beach Terrace, an area that overlooks the famed “Billionaire Beach” stretch. Work has begun for the construction of a private road from PCH leading to this prominent hilltop that will feature four individual 13,000 square foot custom homes with the modern designs of architects Douglas Burdge and Jay Vanos.
