Kevin is a full stack engineer. He prefers developing in NodeJS/CoffeeScript, but can also be convinced to code in Ruby on Rails and PHP. In what little free time he has, he has been focusing on learning GoLang.
As one of the founding team members of GoCoin.com, Kevin is passionate about the development of cryptocurrencies (digital currencies based on cryptographic principles - notably Bitcoin). Kevin first got excited about the space in 2012, but became truly enamored with the opportunities it presented in the early part of 2013. GoCoin has been designed from inception as a secure API on which merchants can build and is the only such platform accepting Bitcoin and Litecoin payments.
Prior to GoCoin, Kevin's work spans mobile applications, web applications, and responsively designed websites. His portfolio includes work for clients such as Curtis Stone, Holland America, JVC, Yokohama Tire, and Farmers Insurance.
Aside from software, Kevin is a co-inventor of a structural design for dasher boards (ice hockey), which limits the likelihood of severe injury in high impact collisions (More information below).
Kevin enjoys finance and is passionate about the development of cryptocurrencies. As a student at RPI he was a member of a virtual hedge fund which traded using a 130-30 strategy.
In his free time, he enjoys playing ice hockey and beach volleyball. He played the former professionally for the Louisiana Ice Gators of the SPHL in 2011-12.
