Succession planning and training at a regional level. Ensuring that stores had people ready for future regional vacancies
Labour saving. Responsible for store saving over £40,000 to support a new store which had overspent in the first quarter.
Managing holidays and holiday budget
Collate retention and absence figures at store and regional level
Making a retention strategy to be implemented in Scottish region
Being responsible for my 5 member HR team and looking after the needs of my 260 colleagues in store.
Manage Labour Control Costs i.e. holiday budget, paid/unpaid absence, overtime
Overseeing employee disciplinary hearings to make sure they are happening as per policy.

Monthly meetings with HR management team and Regional HR Manager on up dates on legislation and any other HR or store issues.
Controlling store standard hours. I.e. budget hours against contracted to make sure each department's recruitment levels stay at correct levels.

Conducting a forced labour match on my nightshift department. This involved consultation and engagement with colleagues and Trade Union officials, voluntary and forced mores to day shift plus termination of contracts.
