For more than 30 years, my career focus has been on relationships between people in business, primarily in a sales environment. This has led me to a career with positions varying from head of training and development for PwC China, to my current role as an international business development and sales coach based in Australia. Having learned the consulting ropes whilst at PwC, I set up my own consulting business in 2004, running sales training and coaching. I now work closely with professional services and business-to-business organisations all over the world, helping them to improve the trust they have in their relationships both internally and externally. Some of my current clients include Deloitte, Aurecon, ARUP, Minter Ellison, Adidas and AECOM. My love for helping companies and individuals successfully build and leverage their relationship capital led me to co-author the best-selling “Smarter Selling: How to grow sales by building trusted relationships” published by Financial Times Prentice Hall, which has now been translated into 5 languages including Chinese and Russian. The two-day program has already been delivered to more than 10,000 people worldwide, directly resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. www.boft.com From January 2010 to Present (6 years) Owner @ IOWEU International Limited was established in 2007 by Keith Dugdale and David Lambert, the author’s of the best selling book, 'Smarter Selling'​. It coordinates the delivery of workshops across the globe and promotes the application of the IOWEU approaches as detailed in 'Smarter Selling'. Keith worked with David to set up a global network of franchisees to help consult, coach and train organisations in building trust with clients and customers. The initial focus was developing the internal network and developing the skills of the team. The first 12 months led to a network of over 90 people in 20 countries. The ultimate aim for the business is and remains “to change the way the world sells”. From January 2004 to June 2010 (6 years 6 months) Training/Business Development Director @ Keith started work as a Tax Consultant but with his natural big picture and opportunistic nature, that did not go so well. As such, Keith stayed in the profession for a few years before moving into a training role. This role carried him from the Channel Islands to Scotland. After a brief intermission in PNG (see below) Keith then took up roles responsible for learning and development in Hong Kong, Singapore and China, until he moved to Australia in 1999. Through that period Keith was responsible for developing learning curricula at national and Asia-Pacific levels, helping the various PwC firms achieve and innovate their strategies. In 2002 Keith instigated the shift from training to learning in the business by implementing “sales coaches”, a role he decided to take up as well. After a couple of years Keith realised this was his passion, however he needed to stretch himself and believed he would achieve more through running his own sales consultancy and thus after around 23 years working with PwC globally, he took the biggest step yet and set up his own boutique consultancy. From 1980 to 2003 (23 years) Supervisor @ Responsible for helping inbound investment into Papua New Guinea. Working with local and international businesses to help understand financial and cultural needs of a new country.
