Account Executive @ From April 2015 to Present (8 months) San Francisco Bay AreaClient Staff Assistant @ As a Client Staff Assistant at Burson Marsteller, I supported the media relations and digital efforts for several Fortune 20 companies and international start-ups. I worked with nationwide teams as large as 60 and as small as 3 to support thought leadership campaigns, product announcements and global events. My relationships with top-tier technology and business media outlets like Forbes and TechCrunch allowed me to contribute to our teams’ success. I managed the daily administrative needs for each of my client teams as well as developing media lists, social and traditional coverage monitoring, editorial calendar coordination, ghost writing blog posts, competitor analyses, and preparing executive briefing books.
I additionally managed and generated content for Burson-Marsteller San Francisco’s social media accounts in an effort to improve our office’s digital presence and company culture. From October 2013 to April 2015 (1 year 7 months) San Francisco Bay AreaStrategy and Insights Intern @ As a strategy and insights intern at Wunderman, I learned how client and industry insights can inform digital campaigns and shape strategy, resulting in powerful work. I used these learnings to execute the strategic analysis and planning for a pro-bono, above-the-line print campaign benefiting Microsoft’s Global Diversity and Inclusion department. I also worked with an agency-wide team to provide millennial insights on a unique, nation-wide compete campaign. As a culminating project, I led a seven-person intern team on the creation of a contact acquisition plan for the Microsoft Store. We presented this plan to Wunderman executives and Microsoft clients at the end of the internship as a mock RFP. From June 2013 to September 2013 (4 months) Greater Seattle AreaMedia Relations Intern @ As a media relations intern for Santa Clara University's Office of Marketing and Communications I assisted the University's various schools, academic departments, and administrative offices with media relations and community management to promote University news, events and reputation management. Additionally, I wrote for and managed the bi-weekly faculty and staff newsletter, FYI. My media relations responsibilities included archiving SCU faculty’s’ media placements and compiling media lists. I also worked as the lead manager of SCU’s primary Facebook and Twitter accounts. From January 2012 to May 2013 (1 year 5 months) Server/Cashier @ At Blondie's I worked with a team to prepare and serve frozen yogurt, ice cream and milkshakes to community and university customers. From January 2011 to August 2012 (1 year 8 months) Human Resources and Communications Intern @ As a Human Resources and Communications intern at ChemPoint, I gained experience in internal communications, community management and recruiting. As part of the human resources team I helped facilitate ChemPoint recruiting by reviewing all incoming resumes, corresponding with job candidates and maintaining job postings. In the Communications department I worked to maintain and update the internal and external ChemPoint.com websites. I also researched and developed a social media action plan for ChemPoint by analyzing the social presence of competitors, assessing ChemPoint’s current digital presence and making recommendations based on the company’s high-level marketing and communications goals. From June 2011 to August 2011 (3 months) Public Relations Intern @ As an intern at Frause I worked on several agency-wide accounts and gained PR experience by researching client industries, creating media lists and archiving campaign results. I assisted with product launches for national clients, including REI and Duraflame, and with event management for hyper-local clients like MistralKitchen and Snohomish County Tourism. I wrote press releases for Frause and Frause employees, as well as for local clients. Throughout my internship I wrote for and maintained the Frause Intern Blog, documenting my intern experience and providing millennial commentary on industry trends. From July 2010 to September 2010 (3 months) Greater Seattle Area
