Group Product Manager @ Twitter Product Lead for Information Quality, part of Twitter's Health efforts.I managed a team of product managers working on Information Quality: How might we enable people to trust that they can be informed on Twitter? We worked on stopping manipulation of our platform, elevating credible content, and giving context about information sources. This was considered the top priority at Twitter. I worked with a highly cross-functional set of teams across the company to launch new products and ranking algorithms, create policies, create new measurement, define our messaging, and communicate to our users, advertisers, and partners.Additionally, I contributed to Twitter and the product org through - representing Consumer Product at key advertiser meetings, - serving as an Experiment Shepherd and advising on product experiments, - being 1 of 4 senior product leaders on our Product Council, focused on improving the experience and effectiveness of PMs at Twitter,- recruiting and hiring From October 2017 to September 2018 (1 year) San Francisco Bay AreaSenior Product Manager @ Twitter Discovery Team.I primarily focused on Recommendations products: How might we recommend you content, people, and topics that you'll love? It was a fun experience at the intersection of user experience and machine learning algorithms. With a team of amazing machine learning engineers, designers, and data scientists, I delivered product changes that created significant DAU for Twitter, and increased DAU contribution from these products by >5x . We also created new services, infrastructure, and algorithms that enabled us to faster deliver better recommendations.Consumer-facing products from our 6 recommendations sub-teams included: - People You May Know modules on Home, Profiles, and Onboarding, - MagicRecs recommended push notifications and emails, - Home Timeline recommended content - Interest-based content in the Explore tabML teams from across the company also consumed signals from our services for their ranking purposes.I also product managed projects across the Discovery team, including on Search, Trends, Explore modules, and international explorations From January 2016 to October 2017 (1 year 10 months) Teaching team, d.school @ Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford Teaching Winter 2015/2016 d.school pop up class: Design at the Disconnect. Our class aims to teach students deep empathy skills, through the context of discovering limiting habits and prototyping ways to overcome them. http://dschool.stanford.edu/dating-diet-sleep-design-at-the-disconnect/ From October 2015 to April 2016 (7 months) Interaction Designer (UX School) @ Huge I was one of 10 designers in HUGE's UX School, an intensive design training program for Interaction Designers. We learned HUGE's approach to design, including how to do extensive user and product research, tactics to expose the user's real problem, and a focus on visually appealing wireframes and deliverables.I designed several mobile and web consumer products, producing high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes. Our teams created storytelling 'vision decks' of key findings and potential product options to present to our mock internal clients, reflecting HUGE's typical client deliverables. As the associate investor, I often took the first look at companies and decided whether to recommend them for further diligence. I would evaluate them based on detailed quantitative models as well as qualitative research such as management interviews, customer interviews, thematic trends, and market analyses.I also worked with our portfolio companies on special projects such as financings, strategy, and supply chain operations.Once a deal was underway, I helped coordinate the diligence process and advisors. From August 2007 to July 2010 (3 years) Greater Los Angeles AreaProduct Manager @ Stripe PM Manager, Payments IntelligenceI manage a team of PMs working on improving payments conversion for users, with products like Radar (Fraud) and authorization optimization. I'm happy to be back at the intersection of great user experiences and machine learning.Product Lead for Reporting & AnalyticsI manage a team of PMs working on helping our users better understand their financials and business performance. Senior Product Manager @ Signpost Spark and Google Ventures-backed Series C SaaS product for small business marketingThe Problem: Small businesses were missing opportunities to connect with their highest potential customers. They were marketing to prospective and existing customers haphazardly or not at all. Our team entirely relaunched Signpost's product. We tied with merchant data sources such as email, phone, and transactions, and sent their customers targeted, behavior-triggered emails and SMS texts on their behalf. I managed and prioritized all user-facing roadmaps from conception to launch. I collaborated closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to launch large products such as a user-friendly merchant dashboard and the data-driven automated messaging system. The product relaunch produced significantly higher retention rates, a 30 point increase in NPS scores, and higher sales velocity than the existing product.
