From January 2006 to March 2010 (4 years 3 months) Vice President, Human Resources/Administration @ First U.S. hire for this Japanese start-up company responsible for the development of the overall organizational structure, policies/procedures, and a comprehensive Human Resources program including the establishment of a compensation/bonus program, recruitment/staffing, employee training and development and safety program implementation. Managed growth from zero employees to a 3-shift, 7-day operation. Duties/Accomplishments include:

Risk management for general liability, property, and workers compensation.
Instituted a complete safety program including IIPP, HazMat, County Business Plan, and various other regulator compliance plans

Corporate responsibilities including purchase/sale of buildings, lease development, tenant selection/interface; corporate name change; out-of state office closure; corporate resolutions/filings.
Instituted job-based skills training program utilizing state ETP funding resulting in reimbursement from the state for $87K.

Smoothly implemented a 20% workforce reduction ensuring EEO and Age Discrimination compliance and resulting in no employee suits and increasing workforce flexibility.
