It's not about media spend- its about infectious, brilliant ideas. Earn it, don't always buy it. From May 2008 to January 2010 (1 year 9 months) Marketing Director @ Developed the brand with the use of great people, agencies, brands and volunteers. Interacted with a lot of stakeholders and government officials. From January 2009 to August 2009 (8 months) Digital Consultant @ Brought them up to speed with digital as an integrated communication channel in sports marketing and sponsorship. From August 2008 to January 2009 (6 months) Managing Partner @ One of 2 Managing Partners in the London office.
My primary client is a British Airways. We are their retained digital agency producing online comms, web, viral, mobile, digital outdoor, social media and integrated campaigns.
Within the team there's approximately 6 client services, 4 project managers, 4 planners, 8 media, 3 technical, 8 creatives, yadda yadda yadda.
My remit is to grow existing clients and new business; expand using the Agency and Omnicom global network, and deliver integrated, high performing campaigns. From January 2007 to May 2008 (1 year 5 months) Head of Digital @ Lead the growth of the digital division, and the on-going success of Cake's social media expertise, that I started in 1999 From May 2005 to December 2006 (1 year 8 months) Digital Director @ Made lots of shiny toys out of the internet and made them famous using online marketing techniques. All of them. A lot of campaigns...... 300 at last count. From September 1999 to May 2005 (5 years 9 months) Account Director @ Made brands famous, clients happy, and colleagues invigorated and inspired. From August 1999 to September 2001 (2 years 2 months) Freelance Sponsorship (Music Team) @ My previous job at Media Enterpries/Group meant i spent a lot of time with the music and sponsorship team at KLP (generating coverage for T in the Park, Spice Girls, 5ive, V festival etc).
I went to KLP on a contract basis to work in the Sponsrship team for MTV Dusk Till Dawn event, 5ive, and other brands/artists.
Had an opportunity to stay but was always going to join Cake as soon as the doors opened. They did, and off I went in August. From April 1999 to August 1999 (5 months) Senior Account Manager @ Publicity and marketing for brands and individuals. Some big some small, all of them happier and more well know now. From June 1996 to April 1999 (2 years 11 months) Account Manager/Publicist @ Amplified Tango to become a cult brand and advertising campaign, through publicity and stunt marketing. Ditto for Martini, and a few others.
