Program Manager, CPRIT - Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas grant @ Managed a 3.6M reimbursable grant for The Rose, a nonprofit breast health facility in Houston, to provide mammogram screenings to uninsured, low-income women across 24 counties in Texas through project development, implementation and evaluation components focused on best practices for underserved groups. Managed timeline of project goals and met deadlines. Submitted quarterly, annual and final reports on progress metrics and financial expenses. Conceptualized, designed and developed program initiatives to enroll women into sponsorship, market services, collect/audit/analyze data, and work directly with partners for recruitment of patients and support. Spoke regularly on behalf of the organization at nonprofit, community, church and professional organizations, while encouraging best practices and all women to make a mammogram appointment. Managed budget, resources and submitted reimbursements with excellent documentation of project expenses to funders on-time and in a professional format. Trained, coached and supported East Texas consultant partner for outreach and recruitment of women and potential partners in eight rural counties.

- Developed project workflow, documentation and templates for reporting that ensured consistency in data and simplified complex internal systems for data collection that allowed us to meet deadlines.
- Cultivated and maintained working relationships within a large county coverage area with collaborating partners, including federally qualified health centers, churches, schools, business and nonprofit organizations.
- Provided support for and assisted with initiatives related to best practices for mammography prevention programs. From August 2010 to June 2015 (4 years 11 months) Consultant @ 2009 Part-time consultant for swim lessons while training for my Ironman Triathlon June 21, 2009.
2008 Change Happens (formerly Families Under Urban and Social Attack) – provided nonprofit consultation and administrative support for special projects in the Development Department or as requested by the Executive Director.
2007 New Hope Housing, Inc.-assisted with grant writing, editing and proposal preparation. From August 2007 to August 2010 (3 years 1 month) Grants Administrator @ Multi-tasked in a fast paced environment with the executive director to oversee Foundation activities: office administration, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, monitor budget, process grant payments, prepare all written correspondences, organize office procedures, represent the McNair’s in the community and communicate their wishes. Worked with other leaders in the community: Philanthropic Donors and Managers, Nonprofit leaders, Texans NFL management and Palmetto Partners (financial managers of Mr. & Mrs. McNair). Advocated on behalf of nonprofits seeking funding. Prepared board meeting material for Mr. and Mrs. McNair and conducted all follow-up on new financial commitments. Coordinated the establishment of several endowment funds with the legal department. Maintained all spreadsheets and reorganized the paper file system. Updated and maintained Foundation website. From October 2005 to July 2007 (1 year 10 months) Program Coordinator @ Assisted in research, program planning, implementation, and evaluation of a $1 million violence prevention media project to be aired on PBS. Conducted research and literature reviews on various topics related to violence and prevention strategies. Created and completed grant proposals to foundations and corporations. Self-initiated and developed local collaborations with public health and social service experts that lead to an Advisory Council. Interviewed and networked with individuals and groups independently and made recommendations to producers for community and expert collaborations and documentary content.
