I divide my time between real estate investing, customer-service and educational industries where I feel can help make a difference in people's lives. Assisted in general pharmaceutical R&D activities such as performing literature research on structural synthesis and experimental procedures, basic wet lab work activities, product isolation techniques, and collected structural data of synthesized compounds and pre-clinical testing such as LD-50 under the minimal supervision of postdoctoral researchers. Gave regular oral progress reports and discussed special chemistry problems associated with regular R&D activities occurring in the group’s individual experiments.
Research focused primarily on the bioreductive prodrugs (nitroimidazole derivatives) that would be effective at treating solid-state tumors. Goals were to develop additional derivatives that would have higher LD-50, decreased organ toxicities and side-effects, higher bioavailability within a hypoxic tumor environment, and better site-specific deliverability and diffusion among abnormal angiogenesis.
