Director of Quality @ Responsible for the strategic and tactical vision of a multi-faceted Quality Assurance team, including UAT, Functional and Regression QA, DevOps, Automation and Release Management. My first key initiative I completed was the design and implementation of the Continuous Delivery solution for our products. From October 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Senior Automation QA Engineer @ Primary responsibility was to support the API agile team in a quality-engineering role. Along with my standard QA responsibilities, I introduced the team to User Acceptance testing and to a standard REST API tool; aiding my team to improve our success rate by 23%. From April 2014 to September 2014 (6 months) Quality Assurance Manager @ Responsible for standardizing QA test policies, procedures, environments and their synchronization with production systems. Primary focus was the design and implementation of a Continuous Integration system focusing on integration and functional test automation. From November 2012 to April 2014 (1 year 6 months) Lead Quality Assurance Engineer @ Primary responsibility was to support an agile team in a quality-engineering role. Primary role was to participate in the design, development and maintaining of a functional test suite which supported the acceptance criteria for all user stories for each sprint. Assisted with the implementation and articulation of testing strategies, test automation and test engineering technologies. Furthermore, I mentored junior engineers on functional testing and JAVA development best practices. Created new jobs within Hudson to include the new automation acceptance tests as part of multiple applications build processes. From May 2011 to August 2011 (4 months) Software Quality Assurance Engineer @ Interact with Business Analysts and Developers in requirements analysis, design reviews, testing and documentation for application developed in Agile environment using the Rally project management tool.
Responsible for iteration and release smoke testing, functional testing and user interface testing of the Hoover’s Inc. web application. From June 2010 to July 2011 (1 year 2 months) Senior Java Application Developer @ Responsible for strategic development and implementation of new software features, system design, code review, and test analysis.
Pioneered the integration of new software technologies within the existing product. From September 2007 to June 2010 (2 years 10 months) Senior Consultant @ Part of the Professional Services Group to architect and develop client DSL CD and J2EE web-based activation applications by utilizing Motive's proprietary software.
Involved in all roles of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), such as writing draft version of statement of works, reviewing pre-release client versions, executing the initial QA entrance meeting, and deploying the application into production.
