In 2014, Jana Erasmus founded ONE22 a niche company offering comprehensive, specialist pre-distribution/distribution marketing, creative, production and technical consultation. A self-starter who has, in little over a decade, distinguished herself in the film and television industry, across production, post production and distribution, Jana brings a wealth of experience to the company. After completing high school in Johannesburg, Jana received a full bursary to study at the world renowned Savannah College of Art and Design, where she completed a BFA and a Masters degree in Multi-media film and television in 2003, with a minor in photography. She completed a six month internship at MTV New York before returning to South Africa where she served a part-time internship at Sonneblom Films under multi-award winning South African director Katinka Heyns. This led to a six month stint at Sonneblom Films. Looking to broaden her horizons and gain feature film experience, Jana moved into production working in various positions. Her credits include the South African box office hit "Oh shucks I'm Gatvol" and the critically acclaimed "Hotel Rwanda". She served as a Head of Production in television and then moved into visual design and printing. Her extensive background in picture content creation and development led to her teaming up with Helen Kuun to found the boutique film distribution company Indigenous Film Distribution. She has been part of the distribution team for over 5 years as Distribution Producer/Transmedia Specialist. This has honed her skills in marketing/distribution producing (PMD) and release platforms for African content.
