From September 2012 to Present (3 years 4 months) Senior Auditor @ As an audit professional I examine a company's financial statements and attest their reasonableness. I get to know my clients’ inner workings, using my analytical skills and curiosity to better understand the business behind and beyond the numbers. This includes assessing the processes and controls used to produce the financial statements. It also involves understanding business drivers, associated risks and their potential effect on financial statement accounts. Additionally, as an audit professional I contribute to advisory projects. For example, I may help clients convert from local GAAP to IFRS and assist with due diligence on transactions. From August 2008 to July 2011 (3 years) Intern @ As an intern I at Emerald I participated in several research projects regarding different products/companies in which the company eventually made substantial investments, such as Alli, Chiquita Bananas, Constant Contact, etc. These were start up companies at the time of my internship and are now well established companies. On a daily basis, we would also investigate the Russell 2000 and select companies that we considered could result in an investment.
