EBRD has financed over €1.5 bln in investments in sustainable energy in 2006-2007 (as of 19 Dec 07). I initiated two carbon credit purchasing vehicles, whereby EBRD contracts or facilitates the purchase of carbon credits on behalf of compliance buyers: the first (2003) with the Dutch Government (JI only), the second (2006) with 12 private and public participants and a broader scope (the Multilateral Carbon Credit Fund, with EIB).
